Edinburgh, January 17.
CHARTER, with consent of (2) (5), confirming letters of alienation dated 10th August last, by the deceased Sir Alexander Ingles of Inglestoun, knight, for himself, and taking burden on himself for Dame Euphania Skein his spouse,
wherebyhe sold to Sir GEORGE MOWAT, now of Inglestoun, knight, in liferent, and RODGER MOWAT his eldest lawful son, in fee, and the heirs male of his body, whom failing, to WILLIAM MOWAT, his second lawful son, and the heirs male of his body, whom failing, to the other heirs male of the body of the said Sir George procreated between , him and Dame Elizabeth Hope his spouse, whom failing, any other lawful heirs male of the body of the said Sir George, whom failing, his nearest heirs and assignees whomsoever,-of the lands and barony of Inglestoun, comprehending the 7 1/4 oxgates of Rottinraw, called Westfield of Rottinraw, conquest and acquired by the said deceased Alexander Inglis in liferent, and James Ingles his son ; those 6 oxgates and 3 cottage lands of the town and lands of Auldliestoun conquest and acquired by the said deceased Alexander in liferent , and the said James his son, in fee, from the deceased James Inglis, merchant burgess of the burgh of Glasgow, and Thomas Ingles, portioner of Auldliestane ; those 2 oxgates of land of Auldlistoun and 11/2 fourth parts of an oxgate of the lands of uldlisetane, that pendicle thereof called cottages, and 2 oxgates of the said town and lands of Auldliestone, once possessed by the deceased Thomas Ingles, portioner of Auldlistone ; the parts and portions of the town and lands of Auldlistone once occupied and possessed by the persons aftermentioned, viz., by the deceased John Spence, John Wilkie, David Samuel, Thomas Dundas,George Stevenson, and others, and now by John Spence, son of the said deceased John Spence, James Wilkie, brother of the said deceased John Wilkie, Samuel, son of the said, deceased David Samuel, David Dundas, son of the said deceased..........
